Actively hiring · founding team Card partner signed Wallet infra live Beta in weeks

Build the future of money. From scratch.

Self-custody wallet, card, banking, tokenized assets, net-worth, one product. Infrastructure signed or live. Beta in weeks. We're hiring the founding team that gets it across the line.

From the founder

Why this company exists.

IR
Ilan Rakhmanov Founder & CEO

The financial stack most people use is fragmented, outdated, and not designed for how money actually works today. You have a bank account in one place, a crypto wallet in another, a card tied to neither, and no single view of the full picture. The pieces exist. Nobody has put them together well.

That's what Normies is. Not a crypto app. Not a neobank. Not just a wallet. All of it, built for people who want to actually use modern financial products, not just download them.

We're at the stage where the founding team defines everything: what we ship, how we work, what kind of company we become. If you want to be part of that, this is the moment.

Where we are right now

Not concept stage. Execution stage.

Every major infrastructure piece is either signed, live, or finalizing.

Open roles

Four founding-level seats.

Head of Banking, Payments & Strategic Partnerships

Founding · Remote

Cards · Banking rails · On/off-ramp · Partners · Commercial strategy

Mission

Make Normies work in the market, not just as a product, but as a real financial platform. You own the card program, the banking and payment rails, the on/off-ramp infrastructure, and the commercial relationships that make all of it run. This isn't a narrow BD role. It's the person who closes the partnerships, implements them, and keeps them running.

What you'll own

  • Card program strategy, partner relationships, and implementation follow-through
  • Banking rails, ACH/wires, virtual accounts, and settlement infrastructure
  • On/off-ramp partnerships and operational readiness
  • Commercial negotiations with issuers, processors, sponsor banks, and networks
  • New partnership sourcing across payments, rewards, banking, and growth
  • Cross-functional coordination with product, engineering, compliance, and operations

What we're looking for

  • Direct experience in fintech, payments, cards, neobanks, or BaaS
  • Strong grasp of issuer / sponsor bank / processor / network dynamics
  • Comfortable doing both the BD conversation and the implementation follow-through
  • Startup mentality: high ownership, high urgency, low ego
  • Can turn partner complexity into internal clarity
Why this role matters: This is the person who makes Normies real in the market, a financial platform with real partners, real rails, and real infrastructure behind it.

Head of Growth

Founding · Remote

User acquisition · Activation · Retention · Referrals · Growth experiments

Mission

Turn a great product into a real user base. You start with zero, building the waitlist, shaping the launch cohort, and constructing the systems that make growth repeatable. This is full-stack growth: analytics, acquisition, onboarding, lifecycle, and product-led loops, all in one role.

What you'll own

  • Waitlist strategy and launch cohort curation
  • Acquisition testing across paid, creators, communities, affiliates, and partnerships
  • Funnel analysis and onboarding conversion improvement
  • Referral and product-led growth loop design
  • Lifecycle campaigns, retention programs, and re-engagement flows
  • Growth reporting across acquisition efficiency, activation rates, and cohort retention

What we're looking for

  • Consumer growth experience, fintech, crypto, marketplace, or app growth preferred
  • Strong experimentation mindset with comfort across both numbers and creative
  • Can move from idea to test to insight quickly without needing a large team
  • Understands cohort analysis, retention curves, and acquisition efficiency
  • Finds scalable loops, not just channels that burn budget
Why this role matters: Great product without growth is a demo. This person is the difference between a product people love and one that reaches the people who need it.

Head of Marketing

Founding · Remote

Brand · Content · Social · GTM launches · Positioning

Mission

Define the voice, build the presence, and create the narrative that makes people want to be part of what Normies is building. This is not a content execution role. It's the person who shapes how the category understands us, across brand, social, product launches, and the founder's own platform.

What you'll own

  • Brand strategy, messaging architecture, and voice guidelines
  • Content strategy across site, social, announcements, and product launches
  • GTM planning and campaign execution for every major launch
  • Organic social presence and content calendar
  • Founder narrative support for fundraising, partnerships, and press
  • Market storytelling across banking, crypto, cards, tokenized assets, and trust

What we're looking for

  • Strong background in startup marketing, fintech, crypto, or consumer product marketing
  • Excellent written communication, can turn complexity into one clear sentence
  • Can build a category narrative, not just fill a content calendar
  • Understands consumer fintech and crypto culture without being captured by either
  • Can make a product feel aspirational, clear, and trustworthy simultaneously
Why this role matters: In a crowded market, how you're understood is often the difference between a product people try and one they tell their friends about.

Head of Product

Founding · Remote

Product strategy · Roadmap · User research · Prioritization · Execution

Mission

Own the product brain of Normies. This is a genuine product leadership role in a genuinely hard problem space: self-custody wallets, debit cards, banking rails, tokenized assets, and compliance UX, all in a single consumer app. The person who does this well defines what Normies becomes.

What you'll own

  • Product roadmap across wallet, cards, banking, savings, tokenized assets, and transfers
  • PRDs, feature definitions, and launch scope discipline
  • User research, interviews, and feedback synthesis
  • Competitive intelligence and market positioning input
  • UX and flow-level product direction with design
  • Cross-functional alignment across founder, engineering, design, compliance, and growth

What we're looking for

  • Strong consumer product background, fintech, crypto, or wallet experience is a major plus
  • Excellent product judgment, especially about what not to build
  • Comfortable owning both strategy and execution, often on the same day
  • High empathy for users, while balancing business, technical, and compliance constraints
  • Finds hard multi-dimensional product problems interesting, not frustrating
Why this role matters: This is the person who turns an ambitious vision into something people actually love using. The roadmap they set in the first 90 days shapes everything that follows.

Why join

Six reasons people pick Normies.

You're building the actual product

Not inheriting someone else's decisions. The architecture, the UX, the GTM, the culture, you're shaping it from here.

The problem space is genuinely hard

Consumer fintech + crypto rails + cards + self-custody + compliance + growth. Cuts across disciplines a single-domain company can't.

Remote-friendly, async-first

No required location. We do require clear written communication, high ownership, and the ability to operate without hand-holding.

Founding-level equity, for real

We give meaningful equity to the people who join early. The people who join now own something real.

The timing is real

This isn't an open req at a company with 500 employees. The first five people make the first five years. That window doesn't stay open.

Infrastructure is real, not a pitch

Card partner signed. Wallet infra live. Banking rails finalizing. Compliance built. Not pre-product looking to validate an idea.

What we value

Six things we hire for.

Ownership

You see the problem. You take responsibility. You solve it. You don't wait for someone to assign or escalate it.

Taste

This product touches people's financial lives. We care about the details, in design, copy, logic, and tone. Good enough is not good enough.

Clarity

The people who make complex things simple, in how they write, explain, and build, make everything else go faster.

Speed with judgment

Moving fast and staying right are not opposites. We want people who have both, and who know when to slow down for the right reasons.

Ambition without theater

The best people here talk less about what they're going to build and more about what they've already shipped.

Trust as product

A finance product users don't trust is not a finance product. Everything we build has to increase user confidence.

Compensation & equity

We don't hide the numbers.

We offer founding-level equity packages because these are founding-level roles. Early-stage equity is a long-term bet, and we make sure the people who take that bet fully understand what they're getting.

Founding team roles at Normies carry meaningful equity ownership, the kind that matters if we build this right. We'll share the specific range for your role in the first conversation.

Base compensation is competitive for the stage. We're not asking people to take a dramatic pay cut, we're asking them to also care about the upside.

  • Location: Remote-friendly, no required geography
  • Type: Full-time, founding-level
  • Stage: Pre-revenue, pre-Series A · Beta weeks away
  • Equity: Founding-level, range shared in first conversation

Is this a fit?

It's not about credentials.

It's about how you work and what you want from the next chapter.

You'll thrive here if you…

  • Identify problems before being asked and solve them without waiting for permission
  • Can zoom out to see the strategy and zoom in to execute the detail, often on the same day
  • Communicate in writing with clarity and precision
  • Are honest about what you don't know and fast about learning it
  • Want your decisions to actually matter, not get filtered through five layers
  • Care about building something that genuinely works, not just something that ships

This probably isn't right if…

  • You need a structured environment with clearly defined swim lanes
  • You prefer waiting for process before starting something
  • You measure success by headcount or title, not by outcomes
  • You want a stable, predictable role at a company that already knows what it is
  • Ambiguity feels like a problem rather than a starting point

Hiring process

High signal. No bureaucracy.

We move quickly for the right people and tell you directly if it's not a fit.

  1. Intro conversation

Quick and direct. We want to understand who you are and why this, why now. 20–30 minutes.

  2. Role deep-dive

Experience, judgment, and how you think about the specific domain. We'll push on real scenarios.

  3. Practical or strategic case

Something real and relevant to the role. Not a take-home that takes 10 hours.

  4. Founder conversation

Direct conversation with Ilan. Alignment on direction, values, and mutual fit.

  5. Decision

We give you a clear answer quickly. If it's yes, we move fast on the offer.
